What's On

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead is home to many annual and one-off events including international sports events such as Royal Ascot, Cartier International Polo and the Royal Windsor Triathlon, cultural events including the Windsor Festival and the Windsor Fringe and state occasions such as the Garter Ceremony and state visits. 

This section of the website includes details of all of the events taking place throughout the Royal Borough in the run up to and including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic events themselves, as well as details of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, launched over the weekend of 26-28 September 2008.

Cultural Olympiad

The Cultural Olympiad is a four-year celebration of arts and culture.  Launched in September 2008 with a series of events across the UK, the Cultural Olympiad celebrates culture, languages and people from across the UK with a wide range of projects from street art to music, being delivered in partnership with local arts and cultural organisations.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead's flourishing arts and cultural scene will be showcased and celebrated through a number of events, aiming to welcome the world to the 2012 games, inspire and involve young people, and generate a positive legacy for the area.
