Airport hotels are generally functional. The four star Radisson Edwardian is lavish, stylish, richly-equipped and displays an exceptional collection of newly-commissioned art, designer furniture and grand oriental artefacts. It has been voted World Airport Hotel of the year five years running by readers of Business Travel magazine.

Everything is designed to make you feel special. Service is our longstanding strength – we believe that the most professional service can also be the most natural and relaxed.
The Heathrow hotel is luxurious – but this is luxury without pretension. We want you to feel free – free to enjoy luxury on your own terms.

Public areas feature oriental artefacts including Chinese emperor chairs, Malaysian Bhuddas and massive 3 metre solid bronze planters from Thailand. The piece de resistance is a splendid Cambodian temple bell.

The Atrium is a vast modern glass space, sculpted for light and sound by architect Patrick Attwine and built in glass to cathedral proportions. Monumental glass columns, glass bridges and glass water features by artist Andrew Moore are complimented by a shoal of Glass fish by Iestyn Davis. There is also a dramatic, underlit glass cocktail bar running the length of the Atrium.

The Newbury Suite is on a similarly monumental scale, but with a tranquil colonial mood featuring grand architectural plants and comfortable Edwardian furniture.

Henleys Restaurant is run with precision by Scots chef Ian Campbell. The room is smart and calm , the cuisine is modern British, featuring seasonal menus built around the finest native ingredient, sourced from specialist suppliers.

Escape the chaos of typical hotels near Heathrow Airport in the mahogany panelled Polo Bar, which is intimate, stylish and highly relaxing. The Heathrow also features a fully equipped gymnasium and spa with steam and sauna treatments.

The Heathrow’s rooms have a warm English country house ambience. Bedrooms feature fin-de-siecle prints, traditional mahogany furniture, rich English fabrics and Percale cotton bedlinnen. Bathrooms are clad in Sicilian carrara marble with Jacob Delafon suites. Security is high with CCTV, throughout, and floor access is by room key only.

Advanced guest technology includes Bang & Olufson TVs, High speed internet, guest controlled air conditioning, international sockets and all the usual five star features and service.

Windsor Castle and Great Park, Royal Ascot horse racing, Twickenham International Rugby, Virginia Water Polo, Marble Hill Open air concert arena, Royal Wentworth Golf Course, Wetlands Trust bird sanctuaries

INSIDER LONDON.
Morning – Virginia Water forces you to relax, nothing but tall stands of ancient trees, lakes and well planned vistas. If you need a task, try and find the immense totem pole.

Noon – Windsor has attracted tourists since Victoria’s reign – don’t fight it – succumb to the pleasures at hand. See St George’s chapel and then head to the Crooked House on the High Street for a brilliant cream tea.

Night – sit outside the Swan in Twickenham on one of the prettiest stretches of the Thames – amble along to the Barmy Arms – for another drink – pick whichever for a good pub meal.
