Other Promotional Activities
There are a number of other ways for local businesses to get involved with promotional activities:
Press & PR
Our PR campaign began in 1996 and has since reached hundreds of millions of readers/viewers. Press activities are handled on our behalf by Live Tourism based in Cookham, Berkshire.
• Independent travellers for weekend/short breaks in both domestic and overseas markets
• Group travel organisers
• Conference buyers.
Most trips we organise are for two nights (Friday to Sunday greatly preferred) and include accommodation and entry to local attractions for a journalist and his/her companion.
If you are interested in participating in any of these marketing opportunities or would like to find out more, please contact Julia White, telephone 01753 743918 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please look at our media pages and get involved by supplying news stories and imagery to LiveTourism that will appeal to our readers/viewers.
Working with partners such as Tourism South East, VisitBritain and trade magazines we have welcomed many groups of buyers to the Royal Borough. This has proved to be a very effective form of promotion and one that we intend grow over the next few years.
• Aimed at Group Travel Organisers, overseas agents, tour operators and conference buyers.
• Complimentary admission to attractions
• Complimentary or discounted accommodation
• Complimentary or discounted meals/refreshments
• Time and effort from marketing personnel
Royal Windsor Information Centre
The Royal Windsor Information Centre is centrally located in the Windsor Royal Shopping close to Windsor Castle. In 2015, over 85,506 people made an over-the-counter enquiry at the Information Centre. Many more will have walked through the Centre, looked at our advertising and picked up leaflets from our displays.
Opportunities exist for local businesses to display leaflets and advertise within the centre (on the wall and onscreen). The Centre also coordinates Concierge Service with local accommodation providers whereby tickets for various attractions and events can be bought in advance and at special rates for visitors. Please contact Barbara Hunt, Information Centre Manager, for more information and current rates.
