Windsor Castle’s latest big screen role
In “My week with Marilyn”, lowly film assistant Colin Clark takes Marilyn Monroe to visit Windsor Castle and also shows off his school, Eton College. The film is based on Clark’s diaries while working for Laurence Olivier productions during the making of the Prince and the Showgirl in 1956. The film went on general release in the UK on 25 November and features shots of the long walk, Windsor Castle interiors including the library and Queen Mary’s dolls’ house and Eton College courtyard.
