There were 1.3 million visits to the www.windsor.gov.uk website in 2011. 2011 also saw the launch of the official destination iPhone App with an Android version due to be launched in 2012.

As well as the annual programme of marketing initiatives there are a number of other ways for local businesses to get involved with promotional activities:
Working with partners such as Tourism South East, VisitBritain and Trade Magazines we have welcomed many groups of buyers to the Royal Borough. This has proved to be a very effective form of promotion and one that we intend grow over the next few years.

Our PR campaign began in 1996 and has since reached hundreds of millions of readers/viewers. Press activities are handled on our behalf by Live Tourism based in Maidenhead, Berkshire.

Your participation
Most trips we organise are for two nights (Friday to Sunday greatly preferred) and include accommodation and entry to local attractions for a journalist and his/her companion.
