   Dancing is more popular than ever but many of us lack the confidence to step onto the dance floor with a partner. The four-star Macdonald Berystede Hotel & Spa, near Ascot, has teamed up with DanceMakers to offer weekend breaks where you can have fun learning some popular dance routines.

   The workshops can’t promise to turn you into a Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers in one weekend, but they are a great activity break for adults of all ages and particularly well suited for beginners, or those who haven’t been out on the dance floor for some time.

   On arrival Friday afternoon you will meet your fellow guests and the professional dance choreographers over a welcome drink in the bar followed by dinner in the AA rosette Hyperion Restaurant. Saturday morning and afternoon dance sessions include simple movements and how to turn steps into an impressive short routine sure to wow friends and family back home. There’s also a chance to practice your steps and a dance quiz with prizes before the evening’s grand dinner dance when you can show off what you have learnt.

   The two-night Strictly Dance themed weekends will take place on 19 – 21 March and 12 – 14 November priced from £189 per person to include dinner B&B, lunch on Saturday, tuition and entertainment.
