   Larger groups can make use of the hotel’s Christmas co-ordinator to create a unique event in one of the private function suites. The Castle Suite has space for up to 120 guests for a sit-down dinner or the St George’s for up to 70.

   Prices start from £38 per person for a Tinsel and Tiara party night; this can be upgraded to include half a bottle of wine for just £7 per person. Book your Christmas party before 30th September and you will qualify for a 10% discount however large or small your group.

   Everyone joining a Christmas party at the Macdonald Windsor Hotel can take advantage of a special accommodation rate from £100 per double/twin room per night including a full English breakfast in the stylish Caleys Lounge.

   TASTE OF CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
   For informal festive gatherings with friends and colleagues book a sparkling shared Taste of Christmas Spirit platter in Caleys Lounge. Ideal for lunchtime and after work parties priced at £20 per person and available between 12noon and 6pm, the festive platters are for parties of six people or more and include a glass of bubbles or a bottle of beer plus some fun Christmas novelties.

   Come and celebrate the new Macdonald Windsor Hotel’s first Christmas and treat your family or friends to a magical Christmas Day lunch at the luxurious contemporary town house hotel.

   Described as the ‘New Jewel in Windsor’s Crown’, the hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the historic town. Before lunch, you can enjoy a glass or two of bubbles in Caleys Lounge on the ground floor; the large cocktail bar with its mood lighting and informal dining area is Windsor’s latest ‘in place’ to meet and mingle.

   The sumptuous four-course banquet will start with a choice of watercress soup, John Ross Jnr smoked salmon or a ‘Table Talk’ mixed platter to share with cured meats, smoked fish, vegetable bites, breads and pickles. A refreshing lime Bombay and tonic water ice will follow while for mains you can choose from traditional roast turkey or 21 day aged roast rib of Scottish beef with whisky jus. For afters there’s Christmas pudding, milk chocolate and cherry tart or a cheese platter and coffee with chocolates, all for £85 per person and £50 for children under 12.

   After this delicious lunch you take a gentle walk beside the Thames or amble down the Long Walk and admire the superb Castle views. Or you may prefer to listen to the Queen’s speech and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying quality time with your family at the hotel.

   Boxing Day Lunch
   Escape the cooking and enjoy lunch out on Boxing. Macdonald Windsor’s superb team of chefs will be preparing a gala buffet using the finest, specially sourced quality produce. The glorious array of platters will range from smoked haddock kedgeree and Scottish rib eye beef to dipping plates and classic prawn cocktails. Indulge to your every whim and eat
   as much as you like to the gentle sounds of a soft jazz band. The buffet is priced at £30 per person and £22 for children under 12.

   The 120-bedroom Macdonald Windsor Hotel has ten luxurious suites with views of Windsor Castle. Its rich, plush decor has been styled by Amanda Rosa, whose previous projects have included the Aviator Hotel, Farnborough and the Malmaison hotel group. Mainly new build behind an attractive Georgian facade, it occupies the site of the former John Lewis Caleys store opposite the Guildhall and Castle in the heart of the historic town.
   

2. Macdonald Compleat Angler

   

   CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHTS WITH TRIBUTE ARTISTS AT
   MACDONALD COMPLEAT ANGLER HOTEL, MARLOW
   
   Come and experience some Christmas magic with a themed party at the stylish Macdonald Compleat Angler overlooking the river Thames at Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The four-star hotel will be hosting join-a-party nights with tribute artists and live entertainment from 26th November to 22nd December.

   Make up a group large or small for your chance to ‘meet’ the Blues Brothers, Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Shirley Bassey, Queen or Abba. Choose your favourite artist from these look-a-like acts and book your places; there’s also a funky 70s band and a mystifying magician, or you can book a disco only party.

   Whichever evening you choose, the special party nights will be held in the Regency Suite for groups of up to 120 people. The fun starts at 7.30pm with your choice of drink before sitting down to a set three-course dinner at 8pm. Prices are from £39 per person for a join-a-party disco night and £49 including the look-a-like live entertainment plus crackers and festive novelties.

   Everyone joining a Christmas party at the Compleat Angler can stay overnight at the special rate of £120 B&B for a single room and £130 for a double.

   Festive Lunch, Dinner and Afternoon Tea throughout December
   Between 1st and 23rd December, the hotel’s AA two rosette Bowaters restaurant will be serving a seasonal lunch and dinner menu with two and three course price options from £19.95 per person (excluding Sunday lunch and jazz evenings). A festive themed afternoon cream tea will also be on offer at £17.95, or £27.50 including a glass of champagne.

   
   CHRISTMAS DAY LUNCH BY THE THAMES AT MACDONALD COMPLEAT ANGLER, MARLOW

   Treat your partner or family to a traditional Christmas Day lunch at the stylish Macdonald Compleat Angler overlooking the Thames at Marlow Bridge, Buckinghamshire. You can choose to dine in either Bowaters riverside restaurant, which has two AA rosettes, or the more luxurious Aubergine. Sister to the London restaurant of the same name, Aubergine has three rosettes for its outstanding modern European cuisine.

   Dating back to the 17th century, the elegant four AA red star hotel takes its name from Isaak Walton’s world-famous book on angling. It’s now a peaceful haven with an enviable reputation for exceptional cuisine, fine wines and stylish accommodation. Combine this with the warmth of an open log fire, festive decor, congenial hospitality and delicious food and it’s the perfect place for a magical Christmas day.

   On arrival at Bowaters you can enjoy a welcoming a glass of sparkling wine and canapés to the gentle sounds of the hotel’s resident pianist. The mouth-watering four-course lunch, created by Head Chef David Smith, starts with a choice of a salmon gateau or a terrine of Gressingham duck followed by beef consommé. For mains you can choose from traditional roast turkey or fillet of brill, while for afters there’s Christmas pudding or lemon tart. Vegetarian options are also available for every course.

   Priced at £109 per person, Christmas Day lunch in Bowaters will be served in two sittings starting at 12noon and 3.30pm. All children under 12 will receive a personalised gift from Santa – names and ages of youngsters in each party will be requested when booking.

   For Christmas Day Aubergine is offering a sumptuous five-course feast sure to keep you at the table well into the afternoon. The fine dining experience begins with a glass of champagne followed by two starters - lobster tortellini and seared foie gras served with black pudding (optional) and caramelised apple. For mains you can choose from roasted turkey stuffed with chestnut and truffles plus all the trimmings and Madeira jus or roast rib of beef with fresh horseradish and Yorkshire puddings. Next comes a selection of cheeses and Christmas pudding served with Armagnac butter and sauce anglaise, or a buche de Noël. After coffee and mince pies you can relax in the hotel lounge or take a gentle stroll by the river. This exquisite menu is priced at £145 per person.

Starters include John Ross Jnr smoked salmon terrine and a refreshing blood orange sorbet, while for mains you can choose from traditional free range roast turkey or braised 21 day aged Scottish blade of beef. For afters there’s Christmas pudding or a pear and frangipane tart with a warm rich chocolate sauce, a choice of cheeses and coffee with petits fours, all for £88.50 for adults, £25.50 for children aged 3-10 years, and £15 for under 3s. Santa will also make a visit during lunch bringing a personalised gift for every child.

   Boxing Day Lunch
   Escape the cooking and enjoy lunch out on Boxing. Frimley Hall’s superb team of chefs will be preparing a gala buffet lunch using the finest, specially sourced quality produce. Eat as much or as little as you like to the sounds of Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby as the hotel’s very own ‘crooner’ performs songs from the ‘great American songbook’ era; there are also party games and fun activities for the children. The buffet is priced at £38.50 per adult and £19 for children aged 3-10 years, under 3s dine for free.

   Everyone enjoying a Christmas or Boxing Day lunch at Frimley Hall can take advantage of a special B&B rate from £80 per double/twin room per night, which includes free use of the hotel’s contemporary VITAL Spa with its thermal suite, indoor pool and Technogym. Indulge yourself with a pamper treatment and chill-out in the relaxation suite during your

   Set in beautiful wooded grounds and finished in the style of a French château complete with turrets, the Macdonald Berystede exudes a timeless elegance.    Created by Head Chef Paul Muddiman, the mouth watering six-course lunch in the Hyperion restaurant is sure to keep you seated well into the afternoon. Starters include terrine of free range chicken and venison followed by a salmon and sole soufflé, while for mains you can choose from traditional roast turkey or a fillet of Scottish beef. For afters there’s plum pudding, a British cheese platter and coffee with petits fours, all for £85 per person and £27.50 for children aged 12 years and under.

   The menu in the Windsor and Eton Suite has five courses and includes the addition of a cranberry iced soufflé for dessert. This is priced at £75 per adult, and £20 for children.

   Boxing Day Lunch
   Escape the cooking and enjoy lunch out on Boxing Day, the Berystede is offering two options, both with family entertainment. Choose from a four-course lunch in the Hyperion Restaurant or a gourmet buffet in the Windsor and Eton Suite where you can dine to the sounds of the ‘Rat Pack’ and the golden age of Big Band. Eat as much or as little as you like at the buffet for just £29.50 per adult and £15 for children; lunch in the Hyperion is £32.50 per adult but the price for children remains at £15.
