Oliver Brooks (31 May 1889-25 October 1940) was awarded the Victoria Cross in France for actions on 8th October 1915. Although not born in Windsor, Mr Brooks lived there from 1919 until his death in 1940 and is buried in Windsor Cemetery. He was also commissionaire at the White Hart Hotel in Windsor.
