Sir Henry Walford Davies, KCVO, OBE, (1869-1941) is commemorated in the Royal Borough as a resident of High Meadows in Cookham Dean. Organist, composer, educationalist & broadcaster, following the death of another of the Royal Borough's residents and Blue Plaque holder Sir Edward Elgar, Walford Davies was appointed Master of the King's Music.
