Windsor
This October Sir Ian Botham is once again digging out his walking shoes and heading out on a fundraising walk for Leukaemia Research. This year the walk will take place in 9 towns over 9 days and in a twist to Sir Ian's previous walks, for the first time ever, we are inviting members of the public to walk with him.
Sir Ian Botham will leave Windsor's Marks & Spencer at around 9:30 am. People are welcome to go and see him off and cheer him along the town.
Then he will go to the Great Park, part of a vast Norman hunting chase, set in 2,020 hectares (5,000 acres) of the Surrey and Berkshire countryside stretching from Windsor Castle in the north to Ascot in the south. With its varied landscape and sweeping deer lawns, woods, coverts and huge solitary ancient oaks, the park abounds in wildlife. The pastoral landscape offers the perfect location in which to join Beefy on his 8-mile walk.
How to enter:
It costs £10 per person to enter to walk with him in this exclusive one-off opportunity, you will be able to join Beefy on one of his walks and as places are limited we are asking
everyone to raise a minimum of £250. We will be accepting entries up until September 26, if the event is full before that date we will close bookings earlier. We will keep the website up to date;
come back and keep checking the home page.
