Marlow
Longridge is a premier, year-round river-side water sports and activity centre for young people, individuals and families. As a charity, we are dedicated to providing affordable outdoor activities for all young people, irrespective of their background or ability. We provide training from beginner to instructor level at our unique Thames-side location that is easily accessible via the UK motorway network.
We have a range of accommodation options from camping to bunk-house, with a small number of single/double rooms as well as a treehouse on our island. Our accommodation is complemented with flexible catering options, allowing groups to self-cater or we can provide meals from our on-site cafe.
For young people we offer a number of: holiday, weekend and after school activities, as well as RYA and BCU courses. Activities include:
- Activity Weekends - Throughout the year we run Activity Weekends where young people can book in for the day or the weekend for a riot of activity and fun.
- School Holiday Activity Days - Our school Holiday Activity days run throughout all school holidays except for Christmas and we run two groups, one for 7-10 year olds and the other aimed at 11-14 year olds.
Activities in the summer revolve, primarily, around our water activities such as: kayaking, canoeing, sailing and rafting. In the autumn our activities will be land based and include our climbing tower and ropes course, disc golf and survival skills such as fire-lighting and shelter building.
- After School Activities - From April to October we run after school activities from 16.30 to 17.45 every day of the week. These activities can be 'fun sessions' in all our water and and activities. From November to March we run after school activities from 16.30 to 17.45 on our climbing tower and ropes course.
