Welcome to Dorney Self Catering Apartments.

Situated in delightful Dorney we have three beautifully kept apartments housed in a traditional old brick barn. The original conversion was more than 20 years ago and the apartments have been regularly updated since then, the latest major work was carried out in 2019 when all the apartments benefitted from the installation of a new kitchen. Each of our apartments has its own front door and we have loads of lovely outdoor space to sit and simply enjoy the views across farmland to Dorney Common.

Our location in Dorney is very special. We are less than five minutes’ walk from the Thames towpath and the chapel of Saint Mary Magdalene; a beautiful peaceful church used more as a film location nowadays than a place of worship. Dorney Lake is nearby and we regularly host rowers and canoeists, not just those learning their craft but Olympians too; the Olympic rings are proudly displayed at the lake and I think it is the largest rowing lake in the south of England.

Our decking overlooks Dorney Common which is a large traditional grassy common, a site of special scientific interest; the Common offers panoramic views of Windsor Castle which is just 2.5 miles to the East of Dorney. Oh and the Jubilee River is also within walking distance.

The Thames towpath in one direction takes you to Boveney Lock, a great place to sit and watch the world go by, and then on to Windsor town centre. In the other direction the path will take you towards Maidenhead.

Many of our guests use us as a base to visit Legoland and Windsor but we have also played host to people working in Slough, Wexham Park Hospital and Pinewood Studios.

Upstairs running the length of the barn is Gardener’s Bothy, downstairs houses our smart one bedroomed apartment, Wisteria, and the cosy studio apartment, the Smithy.

Our location is so perfect for walking that we do of course welcome your well behaved dog!

Gardeners Bothy

The largest apartment, set upstairs in the converted barn, sleeps up to 4 people. Our loft apartment has lots of character which we have been careful to preserve during our complete refurbishment; both a sparkling new kitchen and new bathroom have been installed. There is a double bedroom with 2 single beds,  a tiny bedroom under the eaves for one person, and room for 1 more adult on a sofa bed.

A cosy and compact studio apartment on the ground floor; the Smithy benefits from a new kitchenette. There are 2 comfortable single beds and a single sofa bed could be used for an extra guest at a push!

Wisteria

A popular airy apartment on the ground floor of the converted barn, with easy access to the decking area with magical views. Sleeps 2 in a twin-bedded room and 2 more on a double sofa bed in the main living area. The apartment benefits from a brand new kitchen.
