Please note the roads are not closed for this event.

Before deciding which route to cycle, please consider the age of your cyclists and their general level of fitness. The Short and Medium routes are situated on quiet country roads around the Walthams, Shurlock Row, Binfield and Winkfield Row. The Long Route heads over to Henley, Christmas Common, then back to Maidenhead via Sonning on Thames and Winkfield.

Road, hybrid or mountain bikes are all suitable.

Electric bikes, child seats, tag-alongs etc. are all permitted. Please, however, ensure your bike is roadworthy and you must wear a helmet – no helmet, no bikeathon.

Medals are awarded to all riders that complete the event.

Some riders use bikeathon to challenge themselves and to obtain sponsorship to raise money for a charity of their choice. This is entirely optional but sponsorship forms are attached here.

Please browse the site to find out all the information you need. We look forward to welcoming you on the day.

Bikeathon Long Route - 62 miles (100 km)

The long route heads to Christmas Common via Warren Row, Henley on Thames and Stonor. It swings back via Nettlebed and Sonning on Thames, where it then joins the Medium Route at Twyford. The feed station is approximately 30 miles into the route.
