Artisan Christmas Fair at The Windsor Guildhall

Start your Christmas shopping in style at an Artisan Christmas market at The Windsor Guildhall.

There will be a selection of Windsor’s finest local businesses in the elegant council chamber offering plenty of gift ideas for Christmas presents.

The event, organised by the Guildhall team with support from local photographer Nicola Bell, of Windsor & Eton Photo Art, will run from 11am until 5pm this Thursday (17 November), and from midday until 8pm on Friday (18 November). Entry is free on both days.

There will be festive activities, including wreath making and creative Christmas craft activities for children, the latter being run with the support of the Windsor & Royal Borough Museum team. A paid bar serving mulled wine and other drinks on the Corn Market outside the Guildhall will be available throughout the fair on the Friday. There will also be live music from Windsor Upper Schools Choir.

More than 20 businesses will be selling their products, including handcrafted jewellery from Earth Angel, hand-sewn gift items from Xander Wilds Design, handmade ceramic and pottery homeware and gifts from Karen Bolt Ceramics, and scented soy candles from William West Candles.

Other gifts will include framed local photographs, line and watercolour paintings of local scenes, crochet home décor and gift items and handmade soaps.

Also present at the event will be Swan Support, of Datchet, who will be selling its merchandise to raise much-needed funds for the fantastic work it undertakes in rescuing and looking after sick and injured swans.

Councillor Samantha Rayner, Deputy Leader of the Council & Cabinet Member for Business, Corporate & Residents Services, Culture & Heritage, & Windsor, said: “Our Artisan Christmas Fair is the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit and start your Christmas shopping by picking up unique gifts for family and friends from one of our fantastic local businesses, all in the beautiful surroundings of The Windsor Guildhall. With a range of businesses attending, there will be plenty of inspiration to help you find the perfect gift.

“Join us on Thursday 17 November before heading over the bridge to Eton for the town’s annual Christmas lights switch-on, or on the Friday where we’ll be open until 8pm and you’ll be able to enjoy a drink on the Corn Market while enjoying festive music thanks to pupils from Windsor Upper Schools Choir. There really will be something for everyone over the two days, so please come along and celebrate the start of the festive season with us.”
