Easter at Norden Farm

Your mission if you choose to accept it: Explore! as many workshops as possible at Norden Farm this Easter!

Norden Farm Centre for the Arts is excited to share the Explore! Taster Workshop Day - taking place on Friday 19 April. With over 40-hour long taster workshops across the building, Explore promises to be an exciting day where children, young people, family and friends can take part and try something new together.

The bustling day offers workshops in various age categories where children are encouraged to get creative with other children, plus family sessions which are designed for children and adults to share the experience together.

Learn tightrope walking, giant ball walking, unicycling and juggling at the Circus Skills workshops taking place in the Courtyard Theatre

Comic artist James Parsons from the Crazy Comic Club! brings a whole host of new and exciting sessions to the mix. Make Crazy Pop Up Comics; or create a super cute chibi character at Manga Mayhem; or make a genuine pair of X-Ray Spex and create code comics!

Design and build a robot using micro:bit, motors, wheels and scrap materials – and then help it to draw you a picture! Robots and Drawbots is hosted by practitioner Paul Clifford.

This year Norden Farm are joined by CultureMix who look forward to sharing their skills and turning you, your friends and family into a Steel Pan Band in just one hour!

Tickets for each workshop are just £4.50 per person. The Explore! pass offers access to 4 different workshops for £16 per person – saving £2. Children in family workshops must be accompanied by at least one paying adult.

Explore! is part of Quest Family Fest which runs throughout the two-week Easter holiday.

Highlights from across the festival include a re-potted version of the children’s classic The Enormous Turnip; the friendliest disco in town the Family Silent Disco; illustrator Nick Sharatt’s Right Royal Drawalong; and a chance for the whole family to sing their socks off at Singalong Concertini with the R’n’Beatles.

You can find the full Explore programme on or pick up a Quest map which includes all workshops and events taking place across the festival at Norden Farm or in local libraries and community centres.

Quest Family Fest offers something to do every day of the holidays, making the ideal destination for families. Take in a family friendly film, see an exciting live show or get the opportunity to try an exciting new hobby. The Café Bar is open throughout the day serving a family friendly menu, along with free parking on site and a warm welcome.
