TV comedy actress live on stage at Norden Farm
Double Emmy Award winner and star of Smack The Pony is touring her debut stand-up show. Fiona Allen – On The Run is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 2 December at 8pm. Tickets are £16.
Like most working mums, since her children were born, Fiona hasn’t had a moment for herself. Now free, she has tried new hobbies, new places, even attempting to get fit – difficult when your spirit animal is a sloth!
With nowhere left to turn she decided to go on the road as a stand-up. A show about family, marriage, and things that truly annoy her. It’s a show for everyone, even those passive-aggressive school mums.
Fiona Allen is originally from Bury in Lancashire. She is married to the son of Michael Parkinson, who is also called Michael and together they have three daughters. Fiona has appeared in many sketch shows, including Goodness Gracious Me and We Know Where You Live. She is best known for starring in Channel 4’s Smack The Pony between 1999 and 2033 alongside Doon Mackichan and Sally Phillips.
Fiona also appeared in the sitcom Happiness with Paul Whitehouse, Television dramas including Dalziel and Pascoe and she had a role in Coronation Street. She also appeared in the first episode of the E4 teenage drama Skins and was in Eastenders from 2019 to 2020.
Her relatable humour in her hilarious stand-up show is not to be missed, in the studio setting.
