Helen Bauer brings a show all about the women in her life, from her mother to her best friend, and that one girl who was mean in 2008. And Disney Princesses.
Known for being a comedy powerhouse with an electric stage presence, Helen is one of the UK’s most exciting rising stand up stars. She lived in London until she was 23, making sketches, waitressing and drinking. She then moved to Berlin to do the same there. She discovered stand up, where she homed in her comedy skills performing in Germany. Her special love of pop music, her creative writing and charming attitude can now be found all over the UK.
In August 2019, her debut show at the Edinburgh Festival beat over 700 other shows to be nominated for the Best Newcomer Award. She then performed her show at the prestigious Soho Theatre in London in February 2020.
Helen has appeared on comedy shows such as Stand Up For Comedy: BBC Presents (BBC 1 and BBC 3), CelebAbility, The Stand Up Sketch Show and The Emily Atack Show (ITV2). She has on been on radio, including Unexpected Fluids, Wheel of Misfortune (BBC Radio 1), Newsjack Unplugged (BBC Radio 4) and more. Helen co-hosts the podcast Trusty Hogs with fellow comedian Catherine Bohart and Daddy Look at Me with Rosie Jones.
