A Quest for fun at Norden Farm this Easter holiday!
Norden Farm Centre for the Arts presents Quest Family Fest this Spring holiday. The family arts festival is packed full of shows, activities, workshops, films and more.
Families and children can get involved from Tuesday 4 April – Friday 14 April. Tickets for all live family shows are £12 | £10 under 16s | Family and Friends (4 people) £40 (unless otherwise stated).
Quest is the chance to leave the gadgets at home and try something new, see something new or meet someone new!
Kick off the two weeks of adventure with Animals! on Tuesday 4 April at 11.30am and 2pm. The animals are gathering. But one species hasn’t turned up… and it’s the species which has been causing all the trouble! Animals! is a fun, interactive show celebrating the amazing wildlife around us.
Everyone’s favourite bubble-ologist The Amazing Bubble Man makes a welcome return to the main stage on Wednesday 5 April at 11.40am and 2pm. He brings bubble magic including square bubbles, fog filled bubbles, bubbles inside bubbles and even people inside bubbles!
Curious Investigators on Thursday 6 April at 11.30am and 2pm is an interactive engineering adventure for young scientists! Scribble and Clipboard have a job to do: sort the recycling. But Scribble discovers a mysterious egg hidden in the rubbish and the pair need the audience’s help to rescue an unborn chick. Curious Investigators is a cracking adventure created in collaboration with engineering experts from Lancaster University.
Join Professor Slug’s House of Bugs on Saturday 8 April at 11.30am and 2pm. Professor Slug is an eccentric expert on invertebrates who helps bugs out with their buggy problems - and you can too! Get as strong as an ant! Teach a bee how to buzz! And help a dung beetle make a pooey perfume for its big date…
Lyngo Theatre present the classic furry tale of Puss in Boots from Tuesday 11 April to Thursday 13 April. Would you trust a talking cat? You never know, he might turn you from a pauper to a prince just like the hero of this story. With smoke, mirrors and hidden trapdoors, the sure-footed feline fools both the King and the Ogre.
On Friday 14 April it’s time for little ones and their families to rock out at Rock n Roll Concertini with Matt Bond. This is a concert for children, with some of the best loved Rock n Roll themes from the 50s and beyond. Be inspired by the sounds of the Beatles, the Stones and Elvis followed by the chance to meet the musicians and even have a go!
Explore Day on Friday 7 April is a day crammed full of activities for children and their families. The one hour workshops are all £4.50 per person or buy an Explore Pass (4 workshops) for £16.
Have a go at something different – from Circus Skills to Stage Make Up; Funkey Monkeys Dance to Mesmerising Magic and Tricks; Digital Animation to DJ Skills; and Street Dance to Steel Pan Band. There’s also the chance to Make and Decorate Chocolate Lollipops; have fun in Creative Play for pre-schoolers; try the Ukulele; and take part in Drama.
If that isn’t enough there is also Creative Mindfulness for Children on Saturday 15 April and Art Daze holiday club from Tuesday 11 April to Friday 14 April 11am – 4pm.
