Racing at Ascot: Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday

This Saturday, 2nd November, sees the return of the Jumps Season at Ascot Racecourse, with a dedicated family raceday that is set to light up the Berkshire sky, culminating with one of the region’s largest Firework Spectaculars.
With England playing in the Rugby World Cup Final on the same day the racecourse will open its gates at the early time of 8.30am, ahead of the Rugby World Cup Final starting at 9am. Ascot invites keen racegoers to come and watch England take on South Africa on an indoor screen ahead of racing, with warm bacon rolls, tea and coffee available to purchase throughout the match.*
During the day, guests will enjoy an exciting seven-race card with more than £250,000 prize money on offer throughout the afternoon before one of Berkshire’s best fireworks displays that evening. The £100,000 Sodexo Gold Cup Chase over three miles is the headline race and it is a true test of stamina for both horse and jockey with several of the previous winners going on to compete in the Grand National.
The Fireworks Spectacular Family Raceday will see the front lawns split into two zones, one for family fun for under 12s and the other for children seeking more of a thrill. Fairground rides include dodgems, laser tag, a climbing wall and a range of kiddie rides for younger ones. Rides are free of charge until 4pm and cost just £1 after, with all proceeds going to various local Berkshire charities and schools that are supported through the racecourse’s partnership with the Ascot Round Table.

A pop-up cinema in The Pavilion will be showing family favourite Toy Story (available on a first-come-first-serve basis) alongside themed food and a pop-up bar after racing and before the fireworks begin. The racecourse will come to life as the evening draws in as a spectacular 20-minute fireworks display, with more than 20,000 shots fired, will light up the Berkshire skies from the centre of the racecourse’s track as a carefully curated playlist adds the finishing touch.

Under 18s go FREE when accompanied by a paying adult and under 12s eat FREE before 4pm (only at selected concessions) when an adult meal is purchased.

Tickets from £26. Groups discounts available.

*Please note alcohol will not be served until the wider racecourse opens at 10.45am. The Pavilion only will be open for raceday guests only to watch the Rugby World Cup Final. Tickets must be shown on entry.  Please register your interest in advance here to give a guide of numbers.
