Unique folk musicians play live at Norden Farm
21st century folk fires a respectful broadside at the traditional. The Salts are at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Friday 9 June at 8pm. Tickets are £17.
The Salts are a co-operative of seasoned musicians, creating what is fast becoming one of the most exciting and energetic folk concepts of recent times. With their own unique sound that mixes well written original compositions alongside classic traditional tunes, it’s a guaranteed blast.
Their debut album ‘She Rises’ and their second album ‘Brave’ are receiving rave reviews across the board.
Brian Doran is on vocals, mandolin and whistle. He formed his first vocal group at the age of ten. He taught himself guitar when he was eleven and then began songwriting. Brian went on to study flute, voice and music theory. His first band was formed at school and morphed into many different styles, resulting in playing several of London’s tops music venues and recording studios.

He also forged a successful solo career with his eclectic repertoire comprising folk in all its forms. The Salts have given Lee that opportunity to perform in a band environment and transfer his guitar skills to the five string banjo.
Jeremy Hart is on vocals and acoustic guitar. He has been writing and performing for the past twenty years. Jeremy has led numerous bands into battle on the London circuit, the UK and headline spots in Europe. He supported the likes of ex-Beatle Pete Best and played alongside 60’s legend Arthur Brown.
