A colourful free event for all to enjoy. Around 40 official Town Criers will parade in their ceremonial liveries before competing in a friendly day long competition in Windsor Town Centre. Following rules laid down by the Ancient and Honourable Guild of Town Criers, the competitors will be judged on Diction, Inflection, Volume and Clarity. The event will be held on the lawn beneath the Salisbury Tower, close to the Henry VIII Gate and Queen Victoria Statue. Everyone is welcome to come along and watch the fun, and feel free to join in at the end of each cry when the traditional words “God save the Queen” are always heard.
