Peek behind the curtain at the historic Theatre Royal Windsor

Go behind the scenes and discover 240+ years of theatrical history in Windsor

The tour takes you through a history of the theatre, taking in views from different parts of our stunning auditorium, plus head backstage, and follow in the footsteps of the stars and be in with the chance of treading the boards and walking through the set of our current production (subject to rehearsal and performance timetables).

Learn more about Theatre Royal Windsor as a filming location, too, with films such as the recent adaptation of Hamlet – starring Sir Ian McKellen – being filmed throughout the building.

With centuries of history, hear from our expert tour guides about the ghost that haunt the building, the stars who have appeared on our stage, and see up close how theatre is made in the modern day.
