Carriage Rides in Windsor Great Park with Ascot Carriages. Travel through the Windsor countryside away from traffic, and relax as you discover the area from the comfort of an elegant horse-drawn carriage. Your carriage driver/guide can provide history and lesser known facts about this beautiful Royal Park. We operate all year round on selected dates from 11am to 4pm, rides are weather permitting and pay cash on the day. Book up to 3 months ahead or call on the day to check we are operating before 11am.
Our 4/6 seat Country Carriage seats max 4 adults & 2 toddlers (3yrs or under) or combination (60 stone weight restriction applies) we have easy rise steps, cosy lap rugs & umbrellas for your comfort!
Have a photo with our family friendly carriage horse and the carriage previously used by Late Lt, Col.Sir John Miller, Her Majesty the Queen's Equerry & Horsemaster for 26 yrs.
Rides start from The Savill Building Visitor Centre at The Savill Garden, Wick Lane, Englefield Green, Surrey, TW20 0XD just 4 miles South of Windsor Castle, 1 mile from Englefield Green. Just follow the tourist signs to Savill Garden on A308 from Windsor, A30 from Bagshot or M25 Junction 13.

Carriage Rides & Vintage Afternoon Tea by Leiths's in Gallery Cafe at The Savill Garden. For Couples & Small Groups make it extra Special pre-book Tea & Carriage Ride (Mon - Fri £16.50 per couple for Tea) Carriage charges according to duration, all tours go via (a restored 18th Century Lake) in the heart of Windsor Great Park complete with Summer Waterlilies & Diamond Jubilee Arbour unveiled by Her Majesty the Queen in 2012. Carriage subject to demand.
Picnic Rides New in 2015!
(you are welcome to bring your picnic basket and rugs, on the 1 hour, 1 1/2 hour or 2 hour tours, we can tailor your ride so you can enjoy a 30 min picnic stop by a tranquil 18th Century Lake (one of the last remaining Baroque Style Landscapes) The lake is hidden away in the Heart of the park and has a fabulous display of Waterlilies from May - September.
Royal Ascot 2015 Tues 16 to Fri 19
Ascot Carriages have operated an exclusive horse-drawn carriage service to Royal Ascot since 2001, enabling racegoers to experience travelling and arriving in traditional style. In 2013 CNN filmed a 3 minute clip with our smaller carriage of The Winning Post Show with Fransesca Cummani can be seen on the Royal Ascot page of our website.
For 2015 Luxury 4 seat Landau Carriages (which can be used open or with hood raised) or 5/8 Seat Roof Top Brake with pairs of prizewinning horses can meet you at a convenient place or Hotel in Ascot for a 30 or 50 min journey to Ascot, stopping close to the Grandstand entrance. This is a unique & bespoke service, trips are limited and the cost varies according to duration from pick up point. Please call to discuss your requirements.
