Patio outside Sheephouse Manor Cottages: Enjoy a refreshing glass of wine, watching the lake view sunset

About

Whether for business or pleasure, Sheephouse Manor Cottages in Maidenhead offers our guests a unique and relaxing stay in the five newly-modernised and tastefully-converted barns.

Our well-equipped cottages are set in the grounds of the 16th-century manor house and surrounded by two acres of beautiful tranquil gardens, lake views, chickens and a children’s play paddock.

Dogs, cats and other pets welcome for small extra fee. We have a dedicated dog run and can tell you about the many beautiful walks nearby.

We offer short- to medium-term lets from one week to six months for families and corporate guests alike.  Cottages sleep between two to five persons and the West Wing annex attached to the manor house sleeps six.

Included in the price are all utilities, Wi-Fi, off-street parking and weekly cleaning. All you need to bring with you are your clothes, food and drink.

Despite our rural location, we are close to the commercial centres of Maidenhead, Slough and Reading and Bracknell and have easy access to the M4, M25 and M40.

Nearby attractions include Legoland, Windsor Castle,  Ascot Racecourse, Henley upon Thames, Oxford and, for walkers, the Thames Path and Cliveden House.  Central London is only 30 minutes by train.

Surrounded by award-winning restaurants such as the Fat Duck, The Waterside Inn and the Hand and Flowers, there are also a host of good value and dog-friendly pubs in the nearby pretty villages of Cookham and Bray.

Sheephouse Cottages for families

Families with young children will enjoy spotting the birds and wildlife at Sheephouse.

We have two fabulous acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside with an abundance of wildlife to be watched and enjoyed.  In addition to our own chickens, you’ll see many birds, insects, bees and butterflies around the pond.

Our beautiful gardens are filled with fruit bushes, herb plants and many different trees including a rare mulberry which is over 400 years old – guests are welcome to pick and enjoy its berries.

Young guests will also enjoy the zip wire and trampoline in the paddock.

Check out our Facebook page and discover all the various animals that have come to stay with us.  All pets are welcome to stay with us, for a small extra fee.

Professionally run by Caroline and her family since 1988, we offer a caring and flexible solution to your accommodation needs.

Our cottages offer you the convenience of a hotel in the privacy and comfort of a home.

If you are between properties, relocating to Maidenhead or just booking a holiday we are happy to help you.

For the best rates for stays of 1 week or more, please book directly on our website www.sheephousemanor.co.uk.

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is payable at time of booking, and the balance payable 28 days before arrival.

Full terms and conditions on our website www.sheephousemanor.co.uk.

We are part of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Concierge Scheme.

We look forward to welcoming you.  Caroline Street, CEO and Founder 1988.
