Windsor is just 12 miles from London Heathrow and easily accessible from London’s other airports making it a perfect first or final stop on a tour of the UK.
Fast, convenient transfers are available between Heathrow's terminals. Terminals 2 and 3 are a short walk from each other. Terminals 4 and 5 are served by free trains and buses.
The Green Line 703 provides a new fast and direct link between Bracknell, Windsor and Heathrow Terminal 5.
First Group's bus service 8 operates a direct service between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Windsor town centre with departures up to every 30 minutes. Journey time is up to 1 hour.
First Group's bus service 7 operates up to every 10 minutes between Heathrow Terminal 5 and Slough. Change at Slough onto First Group's bus service 4 for Maidenhead, operating up to every 30 minutes. Total journey time is up to 1 hr 15 minutes.
All services use modern, air conditioned buses with space for luggage. They operate seven days a week, from early until late.
Journeys can be paid for using the First Bus app or by making a contactless payment when boarding the bus.
By train
Take the train from Heathrow Airport to Windsor. From Heathrow, change at Hayes & Harlington, board a train towards Reading/Oxford, change at Slough for the branch line to Windsor and Eton Central. There are two changes but the journey time is approximately 50 minutes.
From Gatwick Airport take the train to Clapham Junction and then take the train to Windsor and Eton Riverside. Journey time is approximately 1 hr 35 minutes.
From Stansted Airport take the Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station, then the Circle Line underground train to London Paddington station. Take a train from London Paddington to Slough then a branch line train direct to Windsor and Eton Central station. Journey time is approximately 2 hours. Alternatively, take a National Express bus from Stansted Airport to Heathrow T5 and then bus number 8 to Windsor Parish Church.
From London Luton Airport take Greenline 757 bus service to Baker Street, then take the Bakerloo Line underground train to London Paddington station. Take a train to Slough then a branch line train direct to Windsor and Eton Central station. Journey time is approximately 2 hrs 15 minutes.
From London City Airport take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to Canning Town, the Jubilee Line underground train to London Waterloo, then take the direct train to Windsor and Eton Riverside Station. Journey time is approximately 1 hr 30 minutes.
