Award winning stand up brings us fresh comedy

The comedian is back with a brand-new show. Bilal Zafar: Imposter is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 30 May at 8pm. Tickets are £15. Suitable for ages 14+ years.

Bilal Zafar has been nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe and is winner of New Act of the Year 2016.

He has appeared on BBC1, BBC2 and BBC Radio 4. He has built up his own online audience on Twitch as he plays an unhinged football manager in an ongoing improvised series. He has taken three solo shows to Edinburgh and toured them around the UK including runs at London’s Soho Theatre.

As a writer, Bilal created and performed a Stand up Special for BBC Radio 4, is one of the lead writers on the radio station’s Sketchtopia and has written articles for the Guardian and The Independent.

He has had acting roles in sitcoms Channel 4’s Catastrophe and Sky 1’s Sick of It. He also starred in Last Christmas alongside Emma Thompson, Emilia Clarke and Henry Golding.

Bilal began streaming on Twitch during the 2020 pandemic. He currently streams an improvised interactive comedy show Hot Peppsy Football Manager; the Acting School of Excellence; and Writing the Coder, in which he writes a feature film script with the help of his audience.
