A classic chilling tale of two halves on stage

A fast-paced adaptation of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde takes to the stage at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 18 July at 7.30pm. Tickets are £16 | £14 concession.

Robert Louis Stevenson’s Gothic novella was first published in 1886. This adaptation by Isosceles Theatre Company was first performed in 2006. It has enthralled audiences throughout Britain and Ireland.

An experiment to separate virtue from wickedness in his own nature results in the respectable Dr Jekyll releasing the demon within. It is a malevolent force which will eventually possess his body and soul.

Isosceles Theatre Company are Pat Abernethy and Dave Marsden. The two actors have written, produced and performed their own shows for over thirty years.

Pat Abernethy has appeared on ABC’s Young Indiana Jones Chronicles in the US and numerous television productions including for BBC and Channel 5. His theatre work includes appearances at The Glasgow Citizens, Young Vic, Manchester Library Theatre, Theatre Clwyd, The Abbey Dublin, The Lyric Belfast and a long association with The Theatre Royal, Stratford East.

David Marsden also appeared on appeared on ABC’s Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. His television work includes voiceovers and he has worked at The Lyric Belfast and The Theatre Royal, Stratford East. He is also a very popular after dinner speaker.
