Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet! return to Maidenhead with their fabulous feel-good 70s and 80s disco nights for grown-ups. Join them at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 17 January at 8pm. Tickets are £21.50.
Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet! put on disco nights at venues across London and the South East – and we’re delighted to welcome them back again for another popular night of entertainment.
HSDY nights are recommended by everyone from Time Out and The Guardian to Stylist and BBC Radio 4. They have been described as ‘ABBA collides with Saturday Night Fever in a glorious mash up’.
DJ Lady G will be on the decks playing all your favourite soul, funk and disco tunes. Dancer Lady Boo will be showing you the moves to everything from Car Wash (complete with shiny rags) and hey Mickey, to the 1979 Gonzales hit, Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet, after which HSDY take their name. Party the night away until 12am - with the bar also open serving drinks until then!
Haven’t Stopped Dancing Yet was founded by Nikki Spencer when she was in her 40s. She decided to create the kind of club that she and her friends wanted to go to. One that was welcoming and non-judgemental and all importantly, one where everyone could dance their socks off to feelgood 70s and 80s soul, funk and disco classics. It was an immediate hit, and Nikki and the HSDY crew have been partying ever since.
If you fancy dressing up (it’s not obligatory, but lots do) there are prizes for the bestretro outfits, and free sweets and ice pops too. And local face-painters Sass & Sparkle will be making the event even more glittery!
