On 25th October, James Church is proud to present an evening with West End star and Olivier Award-nominated actress Laura Pitt-Pulford. Laura is well known for starring as Rose in Aspects of Love (opposite Michael Ball); Milly in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers; and Poppy in the Royal National Theatre production of Standing at the Sky’s Edge. She will celebrate life, love and our beautiful world through songs from classic and contemporary musicals.
Laura’s other roles include Carol Butler in Emmerdale; Charity in Barnum (opposite Marcus Brigstocke); Irene Molloy and Maria Von Trapp in Leicester Curve’s productions of Hello Dolly! and The Sound of Music, respectively; and Jane Smart in The Witches of Eastwick in Concert.
Laura will be supported by Sister Mary, who is returning to James Church’s Cabaret Night by popular demand. Sister Mary will battle the blues with her singing and her unique style of comedy. No pulpit. No psalms. No prayers. She’s not that kind of nun!
Sister Mary has performed seasons in London, New York, on a USA tour, in Cape Town, at the Edinburgh Festival, and a three month residency at the Redroom in Provincetown. She has also featured on The Graham Norton Show (BBC One). Her latest cabaret, “7,” recently played at the Crazy Coqs in London before transferring to the Charing Cross Theatre.
