Star of the West End comes to Maidenhead

A sparkling evening of musical theatre featuring West End star and four-time Olivier Award nominee - James Church’s Cabaret Night with Summer Strallen is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 30 May at 8pm. Tickets are £25.50.

Musical Director James Church hosts this glittery evening. James grew up in Maidenhead and has produced his Cabaret Nights at Norden Farm for over eleven years.

Summer Strallen is best known for her acclaimed performance in Top Hat, where she originated the role of Dale Tremont, originally played by Ginger Rogers. Her extensive West End credits also include The Sound of Music – in which she took over the role of Maria from Connie Fisher, The Drowsy Chaperone alongside Elaine Paige, Love Never Dies, Young Frankenstein and The Boy Friend. More recently, she appeared in The Magician’s Elephant for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Summer is the niece of Bonnie Langford, the God Daughter of Christopher Biggins and comes from a family of performers. She toured with Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton Du Beke, performing both songs and dances to audiences around Britain.

Supporting the evening is Madeleine Morgan, a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music and the recipient of the 2024 Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year award.
