About

New adaptation of gothic novel Frankenstein comes to Maidenhead

A new stage adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein comes to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Wednesday 8 October at 7.30pm. Tickets are £18.50.

Geneva, 1816. The year without a summer. Trapped inside by the weather, Lord Byron, Percy Bysshe Shelley and young Mary Godwin sit down for a competition: to see who could craft the most spine-chilling ghost story.

What Mary created would not only shock her companions but send shivers up the spines of readers for centuries to come. The tale of a man wracked by grief and fear who wished to heal his broken heart; the tale of a scientist who wished to play God; and the tale of a creator who lost control of his creation…

This chilling new adaptation of Frankenstein embarks on a UK tour following a successful and sold out three week run at Boston Manor House in West London last Autumn.

Adapted by Jack Fairey - a writer, actor and director as well as co-founder of Bedivere Arts Company.

This spine-tingling gothic tale is the perfect start to spooky season this October.
