Join your host Jeff Lloyd as we celebrate 50 years of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. He will be arming you with water pistols, toast, rice, glowsticks, party horns, playing cards, rubber gloves, party hats and newspapers – because this isn’t just a screening, it’s a full-contact cinematic ritual!

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is an iconic 1975 musical comedy, horror film based on the 1973 musical stage production. It was written by Sharman and Richard O’Brien, who also played the supporting role Riff Raff. It stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and is a tribute to the science fiction and horror B movies of the 19303 through to the early 1960s.

Filmed locally at Bray Studios, it was initially ignored by critics, but it soon became a hit when audiences began participating with the film at the Waverly Theatre in New York. Fans in costume began performing alongside the film and it is now the longest-running theatrical release in film history.
