Immersive sea shanty experience live at Norden Farm

 

Ahoy there! You are invited to board the Sailorette and join the plentiful crew for a night of foot stomping, dancing and singing! Old Time Sailors are at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Tuesday 22 April at 8pm. Tickets are £20.

 

Sail back to the 19^th century for an immersive experience of traditional seafaring music performed in a way you have never seen before. The Motley Crew and their plethora of traditional and eclectic instruments will take you back to the time of clashing tankards and drunken debauchery.

 

Old Time Sailors is a flashmob musical show designed to take the audience back in time. Every member of the audience receives a copy of the Sunday Sailor, their own newspaper shaped programme which includes lyrics to all their songs.

 

The crew is composed of 17 musicians playing fully unplugged to ensure the most authentic experience. With over 30 songs and tunes where the audience will sing and dance surrounded by drunken Sailors. It’s an astounding show unmatched in this music genre. Everything takes place within a magnificent stage set, designed to give the audience the sensation of being inside a 19^th  century vessel.

 

Sing and dance along like a drunken sailor as the band perform centuries old folk and shanty songs. Fancy dress is encouraged, so pull out your best seafaring garments me hearties and join the festivities in the Courtyard Theatre at the Farm!
