The first pianist in our Summer Series. Pianists at Norden Farm 1: Jung Eun Séverine Kim is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Wednesday 8 May at 7.30pm. Ticket are £18 | Under 18s free.

The South Korean pianist Séverine Kim was the first prize winner of the Mottram International Piano Competition held last December in Manchester, also winning the audience prize.

Séverine Kim is a guest all over the world as an outstanding, passionate musician. She has performed in halls such as the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and the White Rock Theatre in Hastings. She has appeared as a soloist and has invitations to important festivals such as the Seoul Symphony Festival. These festivals take her to the international stage.

Séverine Kim has received prizes in numerous international competitions, including the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition in Salt Lake City. She was recently awarded the first prize and the audience prize at the James Mottram International Piano Competition in Manchester in December 2023.

In addition to her solo performances, she is in various chamber music ensembles such as the piano duo Kim & Hanssen and performs regularly with other artists.

Séverine Kim has extended her her studies in the Master’s Chamber Music programme with Markus Becker and is a lecturer at the Hanover University of Music Theatre and Media.

We are thrilled to welcome her to Norden Farm. Her programme takes us through a sequence of dramatic 19th century masterworks.
