Award-winning comedian and proud Brit. Raul Kohli – Raul Brittania is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 19 June at 8pm. Tickets are £15.50.
Raul Kohli is the son of a Hindu Indian and Sikh Singaporean. He was raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne, where his best friend was a Pakistani Muslim.
He has lived in every corner of this glorious nation and is fascinated by the diversity of these small isles. Imagine his surprise to hear from politicians and the media that multiculturalism has failed.
Raul has fast become one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. His debut show was one of BBC Radio 4, The Huffington Post and the Skinny’s top picks of the Edinburgh Fringe 2016. He is an award-winning comedian and appears regularly at some of the biggest comedy clubs around the world.
Raul also has a short yet ceremonious career in writing and acting, having wrote and starred in numerous RTS Award Nominated short films. He acted as the lead in a short feature film White Privilege where he was nominated for Best Actor.
He also works on BBC Radio Newcastle doing weekday evening shows as well as hosting the BBC Total Sport NUFC podcast.
