Creating animal figures in a hands on sculpture workshop

A one day sculpture workshop for both beginners and experienced artists. A Sculpture: Figures / Animals workshop is held at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 10 July from 11am – 4pm. Places are £75.

The workshop provides an in depth exploration of sculpting techniques, encouraging creative expression through form, texture, and composition.

This is a hands-on workshop where participants will sculpt animal figures from a solid block of clay. They will explore various sculpting techniques while following the complete ceramic process. Develop key skills such as shaping, joining, cutting, scooping and applying textures to create unique surfaces.

Sculptors will experiment with form and proportion, bringing bring expression and dynamism to their work. They will also learn how to prepare pieces for firing.

The workshop is led by Maria Chernyak Belenky. She is an artist and designer based in London. She creates small and large-scale light installations, product design, ceramics and paintings.

Norden Farm runs regular and one off classes and workshops in arts, crafts and health and wellbeing. From Life Drawing to Zumba, Acoustic Guitar to Book Club. All classes are led by friendly, experienced arts professionals and are an opportunity to meet new people and explore new ideas.
