Tribute band return with a brand new show

The leading Eagles tribute band are delighted to be coming back to Norden Farm for a very special show. The Alter Eagles are at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Thursday 29 August at 8pm. Tickets are £22.

The Alter Eagles are joined by their friends the Spectre String Quartet. The addition of a string quartet allows the band to perform faithful renditions of some of the Eagles most memorable ballads like Wasted Time and The Last Resort – along with powerful solo numbers like New York Minute.

They’ve also re-worked some Eagle’s classics to incorporate a string section as a way of celebrating their 21st year of touring. Since their debut gig in 2003, the Alter Eagles have established themselves as one of the country’s top tribute acts, headlining at theatres all over the country, playing a mix of old and new Eagles’ songs.

Steve McCormack is a Hastings singer-songwriter and is on guitar and vocals. He has toured the world with his acoustic guitar on his back for over 15 years. As a guitarist and singer, he has been featured in touring shows such as James Taylor in You’ve got a Friend. As a songwriter he has shared the stage with artists such as Billy Ocean, Scouting for Girls and others. He releases music regularly for up and coming artists around the South East.

Alan Tomkins is on keyboard, guitar and vocals. He played his first paid gig at age 16 and has been working with bands ever since. He covers other people’s material and writes and performs his own. His lifelong love affair with the piano is evident in masterful interpretations of key Eagles’ ballads like Desperado and Wasted Time.

Mike Bradley on guitar and vocals is a graduate of the distinguished Academy of Contemporary Music. A full time musician and accomplished songwriter, he works with many bands.

Rob Beattie is on bass and vocals. He spent most of the 70s in folk clubs, and most of the 80s in the midst of London’s folk-rock scene. He has supported the likes of Maddy Prior, Martin Simpson and Michael Chapman.

Ollie Green is on drums and percussion with over 15 years of playing professionally and teaching. He has performed all over the UK and abroad, playing all styles of music. From touring rock festivals to jazz trios. He has performed with a range of artists including The Drifters. Many of his pupils have also become well established drummers.

Expect all the classic – including Hotel California, Take It Easy, One Of These Nights, Take It To The Limit, Desperado, Lyin’ Eyes and Life In The Fast Lane – as well as Henley, Frey and Walsh solo numbers like Boys of Summer, The Heat is On and Rocky Mountain Way, along with some deep cuts and plenty of sweet country harmonies and rocking twin guitars.
