Self catering at Bray Cottages offers total privacy; you don’t have to engage with anyone other than your invited guests and, needless to say, we take the matter of cleanliness extremely seriously for your wellbeing and peace of mind. A thorough deep clean takes place between guest bookings.
When guests come to stay we fully stock the fridge with all the items mentioned in our cottage fact sheets. We will also take food orders for you which we will collect from nearby Waitrose, so if you have lots of things you wish to have available for your arrival, this can be arranged.
Until our lovely local restaurants reopen, we have the following exceptional experiences for you to choose from:
Caldesi in Campagna: Authentic Italian food and produce for takeaway or local delivery prepared by celebrity chef, Giancarlo Caldesi. This is an amazing restaurant run by Giancarlo and his family. In addition to the items on their menu, Giancarlo will also cater for other guests’ requirements which may not be on itemised including fresh fish, fresh pasta and a wonderful selection of “larder delights”. The restaurant is located in the heart of Bray village, 3 minutes away from the cottages.
Roux at Skindles: Fantastic takeaway and delivery service masterminded by Alain Roux. The stunning French brasserie takeaway has recently opened.
The Beehive White Waltham: Takeaway service and Grocery Shop. Brilliant British menu masterminded by Dominic who used to work within The Fat Duck Group.
The Bray Cricket Club: Located five minutes away, this hub of activity can deliver from a very wide range of dishes. Michael Parkinson, Jnr. fronts this fun business.
Bakedd: A family business providing the most beautiful fresh bread, croissants, pastries and cakes delivered straight to your door.
Slightly further afield, in the market town of Marlow, we have the famous Tom Kerridge and Atul Kochhar, both of whom serve delicious takeaways.
Subject to the government allowing people to start moving again, then you have the follow activities to enjoy:
Walking
Enjoy a wonderful walk from Bray village to the famous Eton College Dorney Lake, home of Olympic rowing. Bray Lake is also five minutes from the cottages, offering a lovely walk with lots of nature. Bray Nature Reserve is 10 minutes in the opposite direction.
Cycling
Bray Cottage has just purchased some state-of-the-art Mate electric bikes for guests to hire. We have the X range which are simply amazing and considered the ‘Tesla’ of bikes! Pack a picnic and enjoy. Hire includes helmets and goodies.
Horse riding
From stables located 15 minutes away, you can enjoy a beautiful ride with some very special horses.

Each of the cottages are just steps away from the world-renowned Fat Duck and Waterside Inn Restaurants, with Caldesi in Campagna, the 14th-century Hinds Head and Crown Inns just a short stroll away.

We are located only a 15 minutes’ drive from Windsor and 30 minutes from Heathrow.
