Stay in a traditional inn in the Windsor and Maidenhead area and enjoy the cosy bars, comfy rooms and delicious food and drink on offer.
Two of our inns are based on historic Eton High Street, just a stone’s throw from Windsor across the Windsor Bridge which spans the River Thames.
Although it’s hard to imagine today, the long and narrow High Street round which the town of Eton is built formed part of the main road from London to Windsor for nearly 800 years.
The George Inn is run by the Windsor and Eton Brewery and is a delightful Georgian pub, built around 1750, offering eight en suite rooms including double, twin, single and family rooms, some with a view of Windsor Castle.
Enjoy a full range of Windsor and Eton Brewery’s beers in the cosy bar in the winter and in the pub garden in the warmer months.
Just a few doors down from the George you’ll find the Crown and Cushion Inn on Eton High Street.
The building is full of character and is very quirky in places. Allegedly built from old ships’ timbers some of the floors are wonky and lots of the floorboards are creaky – but that is what makes it charming!
Eight en suite rooms are on offer including kings, double and one compact double. A put-up bed for children can be added to some rooms at no extra charge.
Enjoy food and drink in the bar or in the outside patio area.
Browse our list of inns below and whichever inn you choose, we hope you have a pleasant stay.
