Highlights of the British social season

The British social season can provide perfect opportunities for corporate entertaining, especially for international companies. Here are some of the highlights of the British social season ideal for corporate guests. The Royal Windsor Information Centre team can help you source and book accommodation, events, dinners and meeting spaces and introduce you to event organisers, tour guides and more so you can deliver a showcase package for your guests.

Windsor Horse Show - 8 to 12 May

Royal Windsor Horse Show is the UK’s largest outdoor premier Show and takes place in the private grounds of Windsor Castle. The Show hosts 5* International Show Jumping (which is the highest level possible) as well as 4* International Dressage and 4* International Carriage Driving. There are also national classes in Show jumping and Windsor is one of the UK’s premier Showing events.

In 2019, The Pageant at Royal Windsor Horse Show will be an equestrian and musical feast of entertainment that celebrates the birth and life of Queen Victoria. You can buy tickets for either event here.

Cartier Queen's Cup polo - 21 May to 16 June

Attracting the world's greatest players and their first-class string of ponies. Add to that Cartier's impressive VIP guest list, fabulous Clubhouse hospitality and the stunning backdrop of Windsor Great Park and the Cartier Queen's Cup Final has all the hallmarks of being a key event in the English social season.

Stay at the luxury country house hotel and spa, Coworth Park , the only hotel with its own polo fields where some of the Queens Cup matches will be played. The glamorous Coworth Park hotel was of course where Prince Harry spent the night before his wedding.

Royal Ascot - 18 to 22 June

The Royal Meeting’s spectacular heritage, unlike any other, has made the event at Ascot Racecourse anticipated and revered the world over. From the arrival of the royal procession at 2pm sharp to the communal singing around the Bandstand, with six top-class races between, each of the five days is unforgettable.

A choice of four enclosures each with an individual character or numerous hospitality packages allow you to curate your own truly special occasion. Event upgrades include enclosure tickets, corporate boxes, private dining and gazebo for up to 15 guests. Try the Balmoral package - a luxurious marquee in a prime trackside location, adjacent to the Royal Enclosure Gardens with spectacular head-on views down the finishing straight. The Boodles at Stoke Park - 25 to 29 June

Enjoy world class tennis within the unique, English garden party atmosphere that The Boodles is now famous for. Not only will you and your guests be closer to the action than ever before but you will experience a day of luxury in the idyllic grounds of Stoke Park, with champagne on ice.

Corporate packages can include a sumptuous gourmet lunch and entertaining interviews with the tennis stars before they take to the court, fine food and wine prepared by Stoke Park's award winning Executive Chef Chris Wheeler. Follow it up with afternoon tea a t this uniquely intimate and relaxed country club, hotel and spa set in 300 acres of fine parkland.

Henley Royal Regatta - 3 to 7 July

Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best-known regatta in the world. It is a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and the social season. The Regatta attracts thousands of visitors over a five-day period. Spectators are thrilled by over 200 races of an international standard, which can include Olympic rowers as well as crews new to the event.

We have a selection of beautiful hotels within a short distance of Henley, the closest of which is The Olde Bell at Hurley.

Windsor Festival - 15 to 29 September

In 2019 the Windsor Festival celebrates its 50th birthday. The festival encompasses music, talks, walks & tours, exhibitions and open houses featuring world-class musicians, authors and speakers. A truly wonderful festival of the arts staged in unique venues across Windsor. The Royal Windsor Information Centre team can book accommodation for your corporate guests.
