Are you looking for somewhere in the Windsor and Maidenhead area to enjoy food and drink in the fresh air? There are plenty of lovely restaurants, pubs, cafés and hotels with outside space so you can dine al fresco! We’d argue that food definitely tastes better in the open air!

Request a table on the terrace right by the water’s edge for a perfect view of Windsor Castle and a great place to watch the river traffic float by! Or cross to the Windsor side and settle down at a terrace table with river views at Sir Christopher Wren Hotel.

The Runnymede on Thames Hotel offers idyllic views of the river with so many ways to enjoy food al fresco: riverside picnics, buffet dining on Leftbank Restaurant’s terrace as well as sizzling specials at the River Hideout!

For the ultimate combination of relaxation and sightseeing, charter a private boat with The Boat Hire Company or Boating at Bray and enjoying a floating al fresco experience. Provide your own food or opt for one of their inclusive drinks, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea packages.

Gilbey's in Eton features outside tables right on the high street for those who like to watch the world go by, as well as a private courtyard with just four tables for those who prefer to eat outdoors.
