Comedian well known on YouTube and TikTok comes to Maidenhead. Finlay Christie: Champagne Casanova is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Friday 9 October at 8pm. Tickets are £19.50 (plus a £1.90 per transaction booking fee).
Finlay Christie humblebrags for an hour and talks about his new search for meaningful, authentic connection.
Finlay is best known for posting comedy skits on social media during lockdown in 2020, and has since appeared on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Have I Got News For You and has hosted his own show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. He was among the first wave of comedians that arrived at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from TikTok.
His love for comedy started as a child, with Phil Kay and John Hegley as influences. He began performing comedy at the age of six, and he appeared on Blue Peter when he was fourteen.
In 2019, Finlay won the So You Think You’re Funny competition and was one of the youngest ever winners. As a member of the Generation Z, his humour often plays on generational resentment. His first tour OK Zoomer was also released digitally as a YouTube special. Finlay’s other YouTube special is Aura Farmer and both have nearly a million views in total. He also plays off his privileged background.
