Enjoy a night of mid-week comedy as Flo and Joan: Work in Progress comes to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Wednesday 16 September at 8pm. Tickets are £18.50 (plus a £1.90 per transaction booking fee).

The musical comedy duo Flo and Joan have stolen a ‘real band’s’ setlist and are using it to write their new show. This work in progress hour is the beginning of that new venture. 

Flo and Joan are a musical comedy duo and sisters, Nicola and Rosie Dempsey. The piano / percussion pair have played to sold out audiences across the UK, North America and Australia including festival appearances at Glastonbury, Latitude, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and JFL Montreal Comedy Festival. They perform their own, unique comedy songs - blending political humour, observational comedy and more. Their stage names are taken from their grandmother and her sister.

Their television appearances include Live at the Apollo (BBC2), The Royal Variety Performance (ITV), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV) and their songs regularly go viral online with over 75 million views across social media.

The pair created and performed in One Man Musical – a one-act biographical comedy musical starring George Fouracres and directed by Georgie Staight (Operation Mincemeat). Originating at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe the show has transferred to London and Australia and has picked up multiple accolades including Number One Comedy Show of 2024 in The Guardian. They have also written songs for the West End musical Death Drop and written and performed songs for Horrible Histories (CBBC), The Now Show (BBC Radio 4) and many more.
