Maidenhead Town Show returns – celebrating creativity, community and local pride

The much-loved Maidenhead Town Show returns this year on Sunday 19 October from 10am–5pm, transforming the High Street and Nicholsons Centre into a vibrant celebration of local creativity, community and fun — all raising funds for Thames Valley Adventure Playground (TVAP).

The event will be officially opened by Joshua Reynolds MP alongside the Town Crier and compere Johnny Walker, marking the start of a packed day of live performances and activities. The new Collaboration Stage, hosted by Maidenhead Festival, will showcase a lively line-up including Chance to Dance Stars, Blend Choir, Windsor Ukulele Band, Tara Deane, Blackmore, Berkshire Music Trust Brass Band, Sophie Henderson and Teresa and Bruno.

Family highlights include the Basil & Crew Mobile Farm, Stand Out for Autism sensory bus, Monster Trail sponsored by Cocoba Chocolate Café, Fun Dog Show (3pm hosted by Colin & Co) and a special visit from the Royal Berkshire Fire & Rescue Service at 2pm. Inside Nicholsons visitors can enjoy craft and community stalls, the competitions gallery, a flower-arranging demonstration, colouring station and real-time community mural, and free facepainting slots from 10am-11am and 3.30-4.40pm.

Now in its twelfth year the event is organised by Craft Coop CIC and relies entirely on voluntary support with thanks to RBWM, Nicholsons Centre, Maidenhead Bridge Rotary, GoodGym, the ‘Our Maidenhead’ crew and local residents. Sponsors include the Prince Philip Trust, Shanly Foundation, Louis Baylis Trust, Oakwood Estates and Hobbycraft.
