Multi-award-winning comedian and junior doctor brings us his sophomore show. Michael Akadiri – Trust Me, I’m a Daddy is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 17 May at 8pm. Tickets are £16.50 | £15 NHS

Michael heads to Maidenhead following on from his Biggest Award in Comedy nominated debut and subsequent hit tour. He has long juggled comedy and medicine, but now he’s thrown parenting into the mix too. Surely something must give?

Michael’s natural charm and cheeky observational style has already seen him make an impact on the UK comedy scene. As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a junior doctor in the NHS. He is currently on a sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background means he’s also in demand as a health commentator, appearing both on TV (BBC Two’s Newsnight) and Radio (Times Radio).

His 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a success. His show No Scrubs sold out the run and culminated in a nomination for NextUp’s Biggest Award in Comedy.

Michael has been seen on Comedy Central LIVE, ITV’s Stand Up Sketch and Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer. He has also been tour support for Jason Manford. Michael is also featured in The Guardian’s Top 12 and The Telegraph’s Top 20 jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe.
