Mark Crooks Quartet headline July’s Norden Farm Jazz Club

Norden Farm Jazz Club: Mark Crooks Quartet is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Friday 24 July at 8pm. Tickets are £17.50.

Much in demand as both leader and sideman, Mark works in a wide variety of musical settings including jazz, big band, classical and recording sessions on clarinet and saxophone.

Mark is a member of the award-winning Back to Basie Orchestra and the celebrated John Wilson Orchstra, with which he has played regularly at the BBC Proms. He has performed with artists ranging from Tony Bennett and Sir Simon Rattle, to Lady Gaga and Dame Cleo Laine at venues from Ronnie Scott’s in London to the Lincoln Center in New York.

Currently Mark is enjoying playing in Jazz At The Movies with singer Joanna Eden, Salud Tom Jobim with Georgia Mancio and with his own quartet in concerts around the UK.

Mark is joined by Alex Hutton on piano, Marianne Windham on bass and Dave Ohm on drums.

Alex Hutton an established pianist on the London jazz scene. He has worked with most of the leading figures, including Jim Mullen and Pete King and won the appraisal of the late Ronnie Scott.

Marianne Windham is a passionate double bass player, teacher and local jazz promoter known for her warm tone and community spirit. She was awarded the Services to Jazz in the 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Awards 2025 for outstanding contribution to jazz in the UK.

Dave Ohm is one of the most recognised names in the UK jazz scene. He has worked with Benny Golson, Gregory Porter, Wessel Anderson, Claire Martin and makes regular appearances with the Ronnie Scott’s house band.
