Bringing a special preview showcase to the Berkshire stage, Rebeca Ortega Flamenco: Beyond Borders is at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Friday 25 September at 8pm. Tickets are £22 (plus a £1.90 per transaction booking fee).

After capturing the hearts of Maidenhead audiences with the pure passion of Raíces and earning award nominations for her deeply reflective, multidisciplinary production La Rebelidía del Silencio (The Rebellion of Silence), Rebeca Ortega returns to Norden Farm’s Courtyard Theatre stage with an entirely new creative version. 

Beyond Borders takes the foundational mastery of her previous works and pushes them into unchartered territory. It is an exploration of flamenco without barriers, where traditional rhythms (palos) merge seamlessly with contemporary theatrical staging and innovative choreographic structures. 

Rebeca Ortega is known for her strong expression, sense of rhythm, elegance and
high level of physical and multidisciplinary abilities. She began her professional career at the age of 19, combining her university studies with teaching flamenco in and founding the group Nottingham Flamenquitas. Since 2017, and with a creative ability recognised as the 3rd prize in Young Creators Dance Madroño 2022, she has left an indelible mark on international stages.

Rebeca is accompanied by a live ensemble of exceptional Spanish musicians -featuring deep, soul-stirring vocals (cante) and masterfully intricate guitar arrangements, Rebeca invites the audience directly into her creative process.

Performed in an intimate theatre setting, this performance offers a unique opportunity to witness the raw, unedited evolution of a world-class flamenco company before the production lands on the major European festival circuits.
