Prize winning Hong Kong pianist Alex Wun appears at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts. St John’s Chamber Orchestra perform on Saturday 10 May at 7.30pm. Tickets are £21.50 | under 18s free.
The Beethoven symphony cycle (21-25) nears its end with bright and vibrant Fourth Symphony.
Pianist Alex Wun studied with Andrew Ma in the junior Program of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He is a Bachelor of Music student with Professor Gabriel Kwok. In 2023, Alex won the grand prize of the HKGNA competition, First Prize of the 87th Steinways & Sons International Youth Piano Competition – Hong Kong and Macau regional finals, First Prize of the 5th International Liszt Ferenc Competition and the European Star International Festival Young Artist Award.
RAM scholar Eleanor Holmes on violin returns to Norden Farm to play the elegant Second Romance. The programme opens with the powerful and popular Emperor Concerto.
Maidenhead resident Nigel Wilkinson returns to conduct the concert. Nigel is an examiner for the Royal College of Music and Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He was also a senior producer on BBC Radio 3.
