Start your week with the thrill of Monday horse racing at one of the UK's most picturesque courses. Royal Windsor Racecourse offers a unique riverside setting and a friendly atmosphere, making it the ideal spot to enjoy horse racing on Monday afternoons. And 7th September features the famous Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes!
The Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes is run over 1m2f and is worth £95k total prize money. Recent winners of the race include multiple Group 1 winner Al Kazeem who holds the race record and the back-to-back winner for Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Fabricate. 2023's renewal saw Passenger take the win by a short head from West Wind Blows, who has subsequently placed second in two Group 1 races in Australia.
2024 saw William Haggas trained My Prospero do enough with Cieren Fallon on board. Fallon stole the show again in 2025 with Silawi, trained by Hamad Al Jehani, who went on to win the Group 1 Canadian International Stakes next time out.
Sir Michael Stoute is the winning-most trainer of the Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes, winning the last three renewals, taking Stoute's victories to nine in total. Frankie Dettori has held the winning-most jockey title since 2013, with a total of five wins since 1996.
