'Spies in the Sky - The Extraordinary Wartime Achievement of RAF Medmenham'

Brimming with history, Danesfield House was once home to the Intelligence Section of the RAF, known as RAF Medmenham. The unit specialized in photographic intelligence and was the ‘eyes’ to Bletchley Park’s ‘ears’. Come and join this very special memorable evening!

Come and join an intimate evening with Taylor Downing.

Taylor is a historian, bestselling author and award winning television producer. His book ‘Spies in the Sky’ was hailed as uncovering a whole new aspect of the secret intelligence war. Through stories around the interpretation of a small number of key aerial photographs, Taylor Downing will tell the remarkable story of how the teams at RAF Medmenham created a new science of photo intelligence. He will reveal how important this was in winning the war.

The evening includes:

• Three-course set dinner with a glass of wine

• Talk from Best Selling author, Taylor Downing – ‘Spies in the Sky’

• Tours of Danesfield House by Peter Faarup, Danesfield’s own private historian

• Mini exhibition of the photographic interpretation unit
